Job Highlights:

Key Accountabilities:

  • Prepare and obtain approval on PRs for production and maintenance requirement for materials, equipment and services.
  • Researches, identifies and develop a list of potential reliable suppliers and bidders list of operation equipment, materials and services.
  • Follow up with procurement and participate in the preparation of procurement and contracting strategy and obtain approval from the government authorities and prepare CFT. Determines in conjunction with the type of form of contract or tender as necessary. Drafts terms and conditions of contract/tender and coordinates with the respective teams on technical terms and specifications to be included in the contract/tender.
  • Issues inquiries or CFT and dispatches to the selected vendors and service contractor by most expeditious means depending on the urgency.
  • Evaluates vendors/suppliers offers and bids. The task includes preparing comparison sheets outlining price and payment terms, other terms and conditions, specifications and delivery dates.
  • Participate with the business unit to prepare Letter of Intent (LOI), purchase orders and services contracts in accordance with the Company’s Procurement and Contract Procedures.
  • Settles disputes with vendors and service contractors relating to technical specifications of materials and equipment, term and conditions of services contracts and commercial terms of materials requisitions/purchase orders which he initiates.
  • Contract administration and follow up on delivery of material, equipment after issues of purchase orders until receipt at supply base. Contract Management after award of contract.
  • Performs other similar or related duties such as preparing ad hoc reports and update on the status of materials requisitions/purchase orders and services contracts.
  • Ensure new contracts are initiated timely before expiry or extend the existing contracts.
  • Plan and follow up procurement planning and update procurement status to meet the business requirements and prevailing market situations to maximize Company benefit.
  • Monitor and update the procurement status to ensure on plan progress and completion within cycle time target.

Qualification:

  • At least Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chains, Legal or other related fields.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in procurement or logistic or any related fields.
  • Have extensive working knowledge using computers and applications programs such as SAP and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication in English.
  • Legal or Logistic background will be advantage.
  • Broad based computer knowledge
