ROVULA (THAILAND) CO., LTD. (ROVULA), a specialist in subsea inspection, repair, and maintenance (IRM), providing end-to-end subsea pipeline inspection and marine artificial intelligence technologies, and a subsidiary of AI and Robotics Ventures (ARV), continues to drive the Thai energy industry forward. The company recently unveiled its latest technological advancements, aiming to propel Thai-engineered innovations onto the global industrial stage.
On June 10th , ROVULA hosted a field demonstration of its latest innovation, the "XPLORER V3" Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV). The event welcomed delegates from Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd. (Chevron) to witness the live operations at Map Ta Phut Port. The comprehensive demonstration showcased intelligent subsea data acquisition, high-precision pipeline structural inspection, and advanced data analytics designed to support predictive maintenance and decision-making. Additionally, the event featured a simulation of integrated operations between an Autonomous Surface Vehicle (ASV) and an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV), presenting a holistic view of a seamless subsea survey ecosystem.
The development of this latest model builds upon a significant milestone achieved in 2025, when ROVULA successfully deployed the XPLORER V2 for subsea pipeline inspection sub-missions for Chevron in the Gulf of Thailand. This proven success paved the way for the continuous technological upgrades found in the V3 model, which is engineered to fully optimize future inspection plans for offshore oil and gas pipelines.
Key highlights of the XPLORER V3 include its specialized design tailored specifically for deep-sea pipelines and structural inspections. The vehicle offers enhanced agility, high-precision performance, and real-time damage assessment capabilities.
Phakhachon Hoonsuwan , Co-founder of ROVULA (Thailand) Co., Ltd. stated: "Welcoming the Chevron delegation to witness our field performance demonstration today is a prime opportunity to reaffirm that innovations engineered by Thai technicians are advancing non-stop. We are fully prepared to operate in real-world conditions and deliver maximum value to the energy industry moving forward."
